Blind Willie McTell, old blues player. The recording is from the 1930's. 'Your time to worry'.
man taht sucks
no offence. the same overcompressed drums, the same simple bassline, and almost no idea. no atmo, no drop, no energy. a bad try imo/
you are surely capable of doing better!
None taken.
It does suck indeed.
I was just bored and had nothing else to do, so i made this.
Its not a serious project so don't give up on me yet :D
i do agree with kulajs
you put so much emphasis on the beat, the bassline is placed top2, that's not right :D give the bass more intensity and individuality! it's quite good though. one more thing, diverse the drums a bit. also i'd make the kick drum a bit quieter and put the main emphasis on the snare.
the atmos were great!
keep it ez!
Cheers man !
Thanks for the tips.
I'm not satisfied with the bass either.I'll probably lower the drums a bit and cut some of the lows on the bass (to make it cleaner) , cause its a bit lower than needed.I hope that when i edit it, it will be more to your liking.
Stay tuned !
PS. I just submitted a new WIP so you can check it and tell me what you think.
hey
nice thing! the kick was overcompressed, that was the first thing i have to say. as far as the tune goes - it's very good! if you would diverse a mid bass a bit that would be great. it goes the same all the main part, you may make it go mid-sub, playing around with automation a bit more. the atmos were perfect ny the way, don't change them for a thing.
keep iy up, it's very nice to hear good neuro here)
Cheers man !
Thanks for the review.
The kick needs some work indeed.I'm currently working on the tune and hopefully i will upload a more variated version.
Once again, thanks and stay tuned for more :)
PS. By the way the drums are all the same throughout the song too but i'm working on that .
it's a [ity
i mean you didn't have to change the beat to this simple one. the old one was working quite well, except it was too complicated for that tune, it was more for amontobinlike songs, if you know what i mean. still the flow makes me smile and relax, so it was a good job!
keep it up!
Honestly, after a night of sleep I came back and realized that the beat really didn't match the sample. The good news is that I got a track using that Mickey Mouse break coming soon!
dope one~
wish the claps were a bit quieter. great voice sampling! great to hear something new from you, it's always a piece of inspiration for me :D
a way to improve
drums are just great, dig the percs really. the bass sucked imo, no offence. sounded too cheap, add some mid-high crisp to it and take the subb a bit lower, i think the tune lacks it. work on bass, it's the weakest point imo. make it sound angrier.
peace!
Thanks for the review.
The whole idea of the track was to have alot of sub and not alot of midrange bass synths. Not sure what you mean about the bass.Maybe my crappy headphones are making it sound better to me.I'll surely remaster and edit the track once i get home on my speakers.
Cheers and stay tuned !
so many feelings
it gives... ohh. damn good job, kind of song you hear somewhere and then spend days finding and guessinbg what it was.
Thats a real compliment cuz thats happened to me so many times lol. So, i know exactly what you mean.
she's got it
well done, the only remark - the hats at the beginning sounded too dry to my ear. overall score - great.
great fo rapping
quite nice. the only thing that was a bit annoying and sounded not the way is should is the kick drum, sounds overcompressed to my ear.
still a good job, liked it.
I went ahead and updated the trakc with a new kick. I think it sounds better. Thanks for the review.
